After looking forward to the weekend, as always, I slept in and then crawled out of bed at my leisure. It was a beautiful blue skied sunny day and I was due for a “treat meal” so I went out for a cheeseburger and fries for lunch which was wonderful! After lunch I drove to the mall to do some window shopping and grab coffee. I hit Starbucks and ordered my favorite as of lately which is their new “Blonde” light roast with a splash of soy milk and vanilla powder.
I had a Bath & Body Works coupon for a free travel sized lotion so I wandered in and had a great time looking at and smelling all of their lovely spring candles! It’s the end of January so I’m still burning my winter scents and feel it would be jumping the gun to spark up a delightful fruity candle at this point. March is when I’ll take that plunge. As for the travel sized lotion, I decided on “Paris Amour”.

Between other stores, I stopped in a couple Aveda salons to ask about my recent hair color and shampoo issues. That in itself is another blog post topic which I will definitely address soon!
A shopping trip without checking out some makeup would be just plain weird for me. One of my main focuses today was to look at the new Maybelline SuperStay 14 Hour Lipstick. I really like the look of the packaging so I decided to take a peek in Ulta to see what kind of color selection was available.

The color pictured above is from the Maybelline website and appears to be the color used in the ads. I didn’t see this shade on display at Ulta and the color selection looked ok, nothing special. Some of the lipsticks appeared to have some glitter in them which I wasn’t too keen on. I actually didn’t spend too much time looking at them as I was distracted by the new L’Oreal Infallable Le Rouge lipsticks!

The packaging is very nice the color selection is beautiful! I know I will be purchasing a couple of these at some point soon. I will probably take a look at the Maybelline lipsticks again at another Ulta or Target since the Ulta I visited today did not have a great selection. Next up…Express…
I still had that $10.00 birthday coupon from Express burning a hole in my wallet so I used it to purchase a graphic tee. At first I was thinking the tee I picked out may look a little “young” for me and slightly 80′s (which is fine) but I loved the fun California themed print so I got it anyway!

I stopped in numerous other stores, one being LUSH where I sniffed a few of their bar soaps which I may try soon since I haven’t ever used their products! If you have any suggestions of your favorite LUSH bar soaps please let me know! Off to Sephora….
I have been interested in Make Up For Ever HD Foundation which I was color matched for and grabbed a sample of as well as their face primer. I will do a review on it after wearing it a few times!
There were many things I was eyeballing as I window shopped but keeping the money IN my wallet gave me a feeling of empowerment! I was not a slave to the many temptations which surrounded me! Here are some pictures of fantastic shoes which I came across…I love the metal detailing and buckles…I AM a slave to buckles. I adore big chunky ones on shoes, bags, jewelry, you name it!

Those were just SOME of the items I looked at and admired today. This post most likely made you dizzy since I was literally jumping around from this to that and all over. That is usually how my weekend mall trips are since I’m highly caffeinated and running around getting my fill of material bliss. And yes, there is more to me than shopping and makeup. This blog is centered around these things and I haven’t ventured into other topics as of yet, so stay tuned and you will start to see some of my other passions appear in future posts!
